Oliva Serie ‘G’

The Oliva Serie G is a box-​pressed cigar. It was my first box pressed cigar and it was loads of fun. It comes out looking square. Logic dictates that a square cigar would allow the blowing of square smoke rings but, alas, it was not the case.

The wrapper was silky, smooth and lovely to hold. It smoked like a champion — a nice cool smoke, sturdy white ash, no bitterness and no sourness. Since my sense of taste is muted, the texture and smoke are what really stand out to me in cigars. I have no distinct memory of what it tasted like, but I do recall that it was just an over-​all fun cigar to smoke. It ranks up there with the Nub cigar, and for good reason — they are both made by Oliva.
